This dense wine begins with aromas of sandalwood, Mandarin orange peel, black olive and black cherry. Lovely depth, as the wine needs more than an hour to decant to reveal flavors of wild blackberry cobbler, black cherry, pink grapefruit rind and anise. Incredible range of flavors and richness to this wine. This balanced wine will be a long ager.

Founded in 1980, Perez Pascuas continues to impress with their new release, the 2010 “Viña Pedrosa Gran Reserva”. The 2010 growing season in Ribera was marked by near perfect weather and this “Gran Reserva” release showcases this fantastic vintage. The wine begins with dense and layered aromas of cedar, milk chocolate, black cherry and sagebrush. There are deep flavors of coffee grounds, black cherry, anise, cassis, Mandarin orange rind and suggestions of nutmeg. This wine possesses a gorgeous range of flavors, slightly darker fruit profile than the 2009.
