It is the almost romantic story of a wine closely linked to the land. The story of a magnificent white Burgundy wine that is nurtured and chiseled by a land of predilection. Pouilly is a small wine-growing village next to Solutré. Fuissé is a picturesque and prosperous town, a pure Burgundian of juice. The striking profile of the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson stands out against the sky like the prow of two ships. At the foot of the rocks is the Cru Pouilly-Fuissé, which is the most prestigious vineyard in the Mâconnais region. She clings to the earring with pride and delicacy. Russian winemaker Alexis Lichine compared these two headlands to the twin rocks of Gibraltar, the famous columns of Hercules that close the Mediterranean to the ocean.
