CASA PEDRO DOMECQ

FIRST WINE AND SPIRITS COMPANY IN COLOMBIA TO RECEIVE   GMP CERTIFICATIONS FROM SGS COLOMBIA AND INVIMA (Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos)

  • Good Manufacturing Practices – GMP is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. GMP contains basic preventive guidelines for factory and facility operations. With the implementation of GMP in our production plant we seek to ensure and guarantee innocuity quality in our wines and spirits.

  • For the certification process, the production plant had to be remodeled according to the quality standards required by the Decree 1686 of 2012, and international requirements.

  • The certification was issued by INVIMA, an entity linked to the Colombian Ministry of Health, and by SGS Colombia, an accepted global company specialized in this certification.

PDC Vinos y Licores, a company dedicated to the production of wines and spirits, in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, was certified by SGS Colombia and Invima in Good Manufacturing Practices – GMP. A distinction that we must celebrate because we have complied with all requirements according to international and national standards, thanks to the commitment of our production team. Our wines and spirits, Brandy Signare Reserva Excepcional, Brandy Don Pedro Gran Reserva, Brandy Domecq 8 años, Brandy Domecq, Brandy Noble 1954, Noble Light 24°, Estoril Wine, Isabella Wines, Due Fratelli Wine and Santo Tomás Wines were produced and bottled at our certified plant in Cali, which guarantees innocuity quality.

GMP guarantees greater product quality and traceability in our production and distribution processes. Through the implementation of processes and procedures, as well as the remodeling of its facilities, PDC Vinos y Licores continues to offer products with the highest quality standards.

"This certification confirms that we have a well-structured way of working, with an organizational culture oriented towards the quality of products, processes and systems in accordance with national and international standards and regulations," said the Plant Manager of PDC Vinos Licores.

The company has advanced in the implementation of plans focused on environmental sustainability. For more than 17 years, PDC Vinos y Licores has had its own WWTP – wastewater treatment plant-, used to treat organic matter derived from the production process. Today the treated water evacuated from our plant meets all international requirements for clean water, which will keep our water sources clean.
